A journey with two bases…

Komae, Tokyo.

Where the vehicles are crafted and handed over.

Located just a 30 minute train ride from Japans largest train station, The Dream Drive Depot in Komae is where our craftsmen carefully put together each campervan.

Capalaba, Brisbane.

Where your van is supported on arrival and the next chapter begins.

This location is also home to a pop-top factory which can do other off-road installations, readying your van for the journey into Australia.

But one amazing start.

How it works:

1: Choose your van

Select a new or quality used base vehicle and confirm your fitout path with Dream Drive.

2: Confirm your delivery window

We align workshop handover timing with your travel dates.

3: Arrive in Tokyo

You travel. We prepare the vehicle for handover at our workshop in Tokyo.

4: Take delivery at the workshop (Komae, Tokyo)

Orientation, paperwork, and a proper handover. Then you leave with your own vehicle.

5: Drive Japan

Use it as intended. Mountains, coastlines, villages. Your first trip is the most unique shakedown money can buy.

6: Return + ship home

Return the van to our depot. We manage export logistics and the shipping pathway to your home port. We can even do add-ons before it ships.

Joel & Misaki

One of our favourite memories was at a campsite up the top of one of the mountains in Tohoku. Had this really epic view.
The campervan we currently use is the Kuma Q, Dream Drive [because] it’s more homely and looks really nice.
— Meet Misaki & Joel, KUMA Q owner

Already completed 3 months travel around Japan, extended the experience for a further 3 months before shipping.

Japan might be one the best country for van life in the world. It is because you get complete freedom on where you sleep and don’t have to worry about safety...
We are the lucky owners of a Kuma Q built by DreamDrive. It’s based on the Toyota Hiace Super Long and we love it.
