About the TAMA

TAMA is a compact, functional campervan available in two body options: standard body and Pop Top and 4 layouts to make it right for you. It is versatile, suitable for both everyday use and weekend van life adventures. We have designed it to be the perfect campervan for family trips, pet-friendly travel, remote work, outdoor activities, and everyday use, focusing on maximizing living comfort.

Standing Room when you want it

Water proof canvas with zip open insect nets to allow for air flow, gas struts for easy lifting. This design makes the cabin breezy. There is also a reading light in the ceiling.

Lift up Bed to for standing room

The bed platform lifts up on gas struts to easily create more standing room and hold the bedding. You will be surprised by how roomy the Pop Top makes the cabin.

Heavy Duty Pop Top

What makes our pop top unique is that we replace the entire roof, which makes it last longer, Driving is more aerodynamic thanks to the stream line finish and front taper designed for better airflow.

4x4 option, diesel or petrol engines

The base model is a 2L petrol engine in 2WD, the upgrade to a 4x4 Diesel engine is a $7000 option. The diesel engine is a 2.8L Turbo Diesel

Compact, space maximising design

With the engine under the front seats the H200 has a 12% shorter exterior and about 10% more rear cabin space. A much better option for a campervan build.

The Toyota Hiace is the gold standard for reliability and resale value. The Engine is the same engine used in the Land Cruiser Prado.

Choosing a campervan can be stressful, it will be your home on wheels but you want to drive it into town so we have come up with a few layouts so you can choose what works for your lifestyle. There are 5 different layout options to mix and match to get it right for you. If you have special requests let us know, our team are furniture maker so are regularly making dreams come true.

Extra Seat or Toilet?

Seat option for extra passengers

Forward facing for driving, rear facing for lounge mode, the seat also lays flat to make extra bed area. There are 3 seatbelts on this rear seat. If you are looking for a campervan you can use as the only car, this is a great option.

Vanlife Layout, Toilet option

If you are looking to travel long term and you are not fussed with having more than 3 seats, this might be the layout for you. Extra Storage in the bench seat, slide out table top, hidden toilet and plenty of storage behind the right side sliding door.

The Tama Layout: Bed and galley kitchen

Rear Bed that doubles as a seating area.

This is the classic Tama setup, a 70cm wide single bed platform with cushion seat which works for a mattress, the rear supports drop in place to extend the width to 110cm which can work for two people. There is a lot of storage area under this bed platform.

The TAMA galley kitchen

The Kitchen includes a sink and a shower attachment, storage and a 40L engel fridge which is built into the top with a beautiful walnut countertop. The fresh and grey tanks are also stored in the unit, We either install a 10L fresh/ 10L grey and a sink or a 40L fresh tank with a facet on top which would be used with a portable sink.

The Hotel on Wheels

Fixed rear bed with extra storage

For those planning longer term travel and who are looking for a more comfortable bed to come back to, We install a full size double bed, and have two large slide out storage drawers so you can easily access all your gear. There is an internal slider for a fridge or toilet.

The NICO kitchen/ dining area.

This is the recommended kitchen option if you go for the fixed bed, The sink can be accessed from inside or outside of the camper, theres storage space and fresh & grey water tanks.

The bench seat gives you space to access the driver cab incase you want to drive away without exiting the vehicle. There is a table so two people can enjoy a meal.

You are welcome to mix and match the interiors to make it suit your style.
